Automaton of Nosferatu Rising from His Coffin

Take a look at this unconventional little wood automaton. The mechanism is housed in Nosferatu's coffin. This is a hand-held windup automaton. Clever!

ashok,

I am really not sure myself.

I'm guessing a small cam hits the end of a lever with the fulcrum at Nosferatu's heels. But...as you say...there hardly seems to be room!

Hello,
I have just found my nosferatu automaton posted on your site.

I pivited the figure on a rod that has a peg at one side. The handle has a cylinder at the end with and offset peg. When you turn the handle the peg hits the peg on the pivot and raises the figure.

anonymous,

Well done! How did you fit the mechanism in that small space?

I love the concept and the Nosferatu figure. It's really cool design.

Best,
