Automata-making workshops in Portland, OR
Karin Gale -- one of the creators of The Raven automaton I posted about some time ago -- will be hosting a mechanical bird automaton workshop in Portland, Oregon in a couple of weeks and still has a few spaces left.Karin writes:
"These are not advanced workshops from a mechanical perspective so it would appeal to beginner level automata makers for this reason. But advanced makers might benefit from our construction techniques which allows a lot more freedom than some of the traditional automata construction methods using wood and metals."

THIS is the class that drew me to sign up for Art and Soul back in February, and I. Can't. WAIT!
Thanks for mentioning our workshop, Dug! We were very excited about how well our first mechanical art class went over in Virginia last May. We are looking forward to sharing these techniques in Portland and soon in Las Vegas in February.
If anyone can't travel to these locations we will be offering some online classes too! Thanks again!
