Beautiful horse automaton by Jacques Monestier
I posted a few days ago about automata maker and sculptor Jacques Monestier's beautiful and useful prosthetic hand.
Here is another stunning piece depicting a trotting horse. When someone approaches, a sensor detects them and an electric motor on a timer sets the horse automaton in motion. The horse trots and stretches its head and tail. The horse is made of bronze and copper and covered in gold leaf.
The artist clearly has some extraordinary metal-working skills.
